Water levels increase in Kerala dams

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water levels at the three major reservoirs of the State, namely Idukki, Idamalayar and Kallada, registered rise compared to the levels obtained the previous week.

According to figures released by the Central Water Commission, Idukki saw the levels rise to 2,338.10 ft from 2,324.52 ft, while it went up to 348.43 ft from 334.97 ft at Kallada and to 481.73 ft from 441.65 ft at Idamalayar.

Study of year-on-year figures revealed that the levels had risen by 45.80 ft at Idukki; 96.56 ft at Idamalayar; and by 52.50 ft at Kallada, the Central Water Commission said.
