This was announced here by Mr B.K. Giri, Director, NSSO (SDRD), Kolkata, during the course of his inaugural speech at a two-day training camp for officials here. The next round of survey beginning next month would be the quinquennial survey on consumer expenditure and employment/unemployment.

Among those who spoke on the occasion were Mr P. Kochunarayana Pillai, Additional Director, Department of Economics and Statistics, Kerala; and Mr P. Nanukuttan, Senior Superintendent, NSSO (FOD).
