Public Sector Banks SBI opens first Internet shoppe Our Bureau
The country's first ever `Internet Shoppe' launched at Kochi by SBI at Vytilla branch on Wednesday. Mr C. Narasimhan, Chief General Manager, Kerala Circle, inaugurated the facility. Kochi , June 16 STATE Bank of India, which had launched the first ever floating ATM in the country, opened the country's first Internet shoppe here on Wednesday. Inaugurating the facility, Mr C. Narasimhan, Chief General Manager, Kerala Circle, said the facility would be available to all its customers, who could do Internet banking, while travelling. "The customers can access the SBI Web site from the shoppe and transact through the Internet." The service is free to all Internet bank account holders and those who wish to open Internet banking accounts with SBI. "This facility will come as a great relief to all those who wish to transact in a safe and secure environment and access at their convenience from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.," said Mr Narasimhan. Depending on the demand, more facilities will be added to the system in future besides making this facility available for 24 hours.
