Public Sector Banks SBI fair does Rs 286-cr biz Our Bureau
CHENNAI: The State Bank of India's four-day property fair-cum-loan shoppe held recently here generated business worth Rs 285.76 crore. The bank introduced a one-stop shop for all requirements housing, car and educational loans, for the first time, in its loan fair. Giving details of the business done, SBI officials said that housing loan sanctions worth Rs 230.29 crore were given to 2,676 applicants, educational loan sanctions worth Rs 47.36 crore to 2,005 applicants and car loan sanctions of Rs 8.09 crore to 5,166 applicants. SBI officials said that customers with sanction letters could approach designated branches for disbursement of the loan amount within three months.
