Mixed trend in rubber market

KOTTAYAM: The spot rubber market showed a mixed trend on Tuesday. The gap between demand and supply positions continued to enhance sheet rubber price which closed at Rs 61.50 against Rs 61 a kg on Monday.

There were no sellers in the market though the covering groups and purchase agents kept a low profile. The futures market was slightly weak on Tuesday. The June delivery was quoted at Rs 61.16 (61.41), July delivery Rs 60.16 (60.29), August delivery Rs 58.10 (58.38) and September delivery at Rs 57.15 (57.48) per kg for RSS 4. The Tuesday spot market rates per kg were as follows: RSS 4 61.50 (61); RSS 5 59.50 (59.50); ungraded 59 (58.75); ISNR 20 57.25 (57.25); & latex 60% 46 (46).
