I-T sops for exporters

This is with reference to "Impact of rupee appreciation: I-T sops for exporters unwarranted" (Business Line, June 4). Organisations and individuals in the export trade should streamline operations by reducing wastage and introducing cost reduction measures in productivity. Taxes and interest costs are ignored while asking for sops for exports.

There is also the need to introduce pricing audit and to compare estimates and realities after the export order is completed for analysing variations in estimates versus actuals due to internal and external factors and inefficiencies.
