New Delhi , June 4

THE Ministry of Company Affairs will launch a special Web site on cost audit issues on Monday. The Web site will contain information on various legal and related issues of cost audit. It will be available as a separate address within the Department of Company Affairs (DCA) Web site, www.dca.nic.in/cab.

According to an official statement, the Web site will facilitate easy access to information to companies, auditors and users of cost audit reports.

The Web site will also feature the activities of the Cost Audit Branch (CAB) of the ministry, which primarily administers compliance of Section 209 (L) (d) and 2338 of the Companies Act, 1956. Its activities include appointment of cost auditors, granting exemptions / withdrawal and receiving audit reports.

The Web site launch will be in line with the spirit of the Citizen's Charter regarding transparency and prompt dissemination of information, rules and guidelines to the widely scattered companies, auditors and users.
