Hero Honda sales rise 30% in May

New Delhi , June 1

TWO wheeler manufacturer, Hero Honda recorded its highest ever sales in a month selling 2,12,177 units in May 2004, thus registering a growth of 30 per cent over May 2003 (1,63,582 units).

During the last eight months the company has sold in excess of 2 lakh bikes four times.

According to a company statement, Hero Honda has maintained an average motorcycle market share of 52 per cent in the last six months and an average two-wheeler market share of 40 per cent for the same period.

Meanwhile, Hero Honda and Honda Motor Corporation are likely to sign an agreement on Wednesday renewing the technical collaboration between the two companies.
