Hardware Alliance Semi to invest $50 m more Our Bureau
Bangalore , May 31 ALLIANCE Semiconductor Corporation, a provider of analog and mixed signal products, memory products and systems solutions, announced on Monday that it would invest up to $50 million to expand its India design centres at Bangalore and Hyderabad over the next five years. Alliance plans to use the investment in its engineering and deployment services to expand its markets further. "The company plans to double its engineering staff to 300 over the next three years at its Bangalore and Hyderabad centres," said Mr N. Damodar Reddy, Chairman, CEO and President, Alliance Semiconductor Corp. Till date, Alliance has already invested approximately $20 million in the Indian operations. "Alliance India's competency in design and development at the forefront of mixed signal technology, HyperTransport-based chip-to-chip interconnect technology and memory products helped us, in significant measure, to enhance our portfolio of products and technologies," he said. Mr Reddy said the company expects to be back in the black by the end of the year. "The recent announcements of our new products are proof of our commitment to delivering quality, cost effective products that meet our customers needs," he said "The India Design Centre has grown to 150 engineers from 20 in the last five years. This investment will enable us to accelerate product development efforts and further expand our technology talent in Bangalore and Hyderabad," said Mr Jayanta Lahiri, General Manager-India Operations.
