New Delhi , May 21 TWO-WHEELER manufacturer, Kinetic, on Friday said that it is targeting a topline growth of over 20 per cent to Rs 1,300 crore-1,400 crore this year from Rs 1,100 crore last year due to growing sales of its 125 cc Velocity motorcycle and proposed new product launches. The launches include 2-3 scooter models in October 2004 and the 250 cc sportsbike Comet, Mr Ajinkya Firodia, General Manager, Marketing, Kinetic Engineering, said today. The `Comet' has already been given for homologation (road worthiness test) in India. The company is aiming to sell one lakh motorcycles in the current fiscal over the 75,000 units sold last year. Kinetic, in a bid to give exports a boost, is also in talks with a few Thailand-based motorcycle makers to set up a joint venture to commence assembly of bikes in Thailand. "The assembly line should be up in a year's time. At present, the discussions are on with several players in the country," Mr Firodia said. Kinetic plans to increase exports to 15,000 units this year from 10,000 units last year with the Nova set to make a debut in Europe.
