Rubber futures bullish

KOTTAYAM: The spot rubber market remained closed on Thursday following the death of the former Kerala Chief Minister, Mr E.K. Nayanar. Rubber futures continued to show a better trend on Thursday.

The near-month June delivery was quoted at Rs 59.35 (58.96), July delivery at Rs 59.30 (58.96), August delivery at Rs 58.65 (58.28) and September delivery at Rs 58.25 (57.87) per kg for RSS 4.

The market opened better and remained in the bullish orbit following positive reports from the world markets. The volumes were also moderate.

Meanwhile, the TOCOM June futures for RSS 3 moved up to close at 157.9 yen against 154.1 yen a kg on Wednesday.
