Management ISB students get top offers Our Bureau
Hyderabad , May 12 THE Class of 2004 at the Indian School of Business has raised the bar on number of offers and average salary package with students registering an average annual package of Rs 9 lakh with the highest offer of Rs 20.5 lakh. The average international offer was $90,000, the highest being $1,51,768. In its placement report for 2004, the ISB has stated that this is the first time when an Indian B-school graduate received an offer similar to an Ivy League school counterpart. The ISB lateral placements drive helped several companies such as Novartis, Goldman Sachs, Coca-Cola, Hindustan Levers and HSBC to induct students. The class of 2004 had 219 students, of which 192 participated in the placement process, wherein they received 273 offers, of which 221 were lateral, up by 41 from the previous year. The ISB had 144 companies participating in the placement process. Interestingly, the placement data for women students reflects that they received average salaries of Rs 8.86 lakh. Forty women received 52 offers with the highest job offer of Rs 13 lakh. The rolling placements process at the ISB focussed on lateral placements, which meant that a large number of these offers are for lateral positions. Companies that scouted for management students include Bank of America, BCG, Citibank NA, Coca Cola, Cognizant Technology, Dell, Deutsche Bank, General Electric, Goldman Sachs, HCL, Hindustan Lever Ltd, IBM, Infosys, JP Morgan, LNM Group, McKinsey, Microsoft, Novartis, Reliance Industries, and TSMG among others.
