BUOYED by the good response to its `flyaways' to different destinations and the emergence of Andhra Pradesh as a major tourist destination, Indian Airlines (IA) has included the State in its flyaway menu, which comprises a number of attractive tourist offerings and value-added services.

Designed to cater to various holiday needs, the flyaways programme allows travellers to visit popular and historic tourist sites around the State. The tourist attractions include Salarjung Museum, Purani Haveli Palace, Charminar, the 2,000-year-old Kolunupak Jain temple, Pembarthy handicraft village, Ramappa temple, Undavalli temples, Srisailam and Nagarjuna Konda Museum.

The Andhra Pradesh Flyaways promotes holiday packages to destinations like Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati. The package is valid up to September 30.

Some of the earlier flyaway packages include trips to Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Nagpur, said Mr Rajneesh Bagga, Senior Manager (Sales), in a press release. Apart from destination packages, the scheme also includes `Best of Andhra'. The six-nights-seven-days package covers Hyderabad, Warangal, Vijayawada, Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam.

The basic package includes return airfare in economy class, airport transfers, accommodation and meals.

Travellers can make or cancel hotel bookings through IA's Web site www.indianairlinespackages. com.
