World Red Cross Day at Kochi

KOCHI: The district unit of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) observed the World Red Cross Day here upholding the theme `stop discrimination and protect human dignity'.

The Kerala High Court judge, Justice K. Thankappan, inaugurated the programme. Mr B.K. Menon, Managing Director of Kochi Refineries Ltd, distributed the Red Cross awards to hospitals.

The Perumbavoor Taluk hospital won the rolling shield for the best Government Hospital.
