HYDERABAD: In its drive to get all the auto fare meters recalibrated and reduce tampering, the Legal Metrology Department has announced that the last date is May 17. If auto drivers and owners do not get their vehicles recalibrated, action would be taken, it warned in a press release.

As part of the recalibration effort, which began on February 17, the department is affixing a sticker inside the mirror of the fare meters with the caption `Pay By the Meter'.
