Ayurvedagram hived off as separate entity

AYURVEDAGRAM Heritage Wellness Centre Pvt Ltd (AHWC), till now run as a subsidiary of the Rs 13.09-crore Kerala Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd (KAPL), has been hived off as a separate business entity with its own capitalisation of about Rs 3 crore.
The decision has been taken for the Wellness Resort to leverage on its strong brand image.
The majority stake in AHWC is held by Mr Arun Kumar, a director in KAPL, with a Rs 1.3-crore investment. The remaining is shared by KAPL and Mr D.Natesan of Natesan's, a leading Antique House from Bangalore.
The leisure-cum-health resort hopes to achieve a turnover of Rs 2.3 crore this year.
KAPL is a 75-year old company, which providing exclusive Ayurvedic treatment through integrated facilities of a hospital and production of Ayurvedic medicines in Kerala.
Located in Whitefield, about 20 km from Bangalore, Ayurvedagram has been developed in a typical Kerala heritage style to give an authentic ambience.
The complex has a garden of herbal plants for treatment while medicines are supplied by KAPL.
