COIMBATORE: Aptech Ltd has joined hands with the city-based NGO, Isha Foundation, to participate in the latter's Rural Rejuvenation Project.

As part of this initiative, Aptech would be providing free IT training and courseware to rural students in and around the Gobichettipalayam belt, where Isha has been striving to improve the quality of life through its social outreach programme.

About 150 students have enrolled themselves for the programme. Select students who excel in the programme would enjoy the benefit of higher education in computers besides being geared up for the job market.

Aptech sources indicated that the programme would be extended to other villages around Erode and Coimbatore in a phased manner.
