COIMBATORE: The Maryland-based Group 1 Software has entered into a referral alliance with the city-based G.K. Management Services (India) Pvt Ltd (GKM), a provider of tax outsourcing services.

Under the agreement, GKM would introduce the US-based company's — GeoTAX — tax jurisdiction assignment solution to its customers, which include some leading commercial entities in North America.

GKM sources said that with tax jurisdictions constantly changing, the potential liability resulting from inaccurate tax assignment posed significant problem. "GeoTAX is a complete tax jurisdiction assignment solution," according to Ms Viji Sudhakar, CEO, GKM.

Company sources said that the tax outsourcing service touched a high of one lakh returns last year, which was four times compared to the earlier year. During the current year, the tax outsourcing service providers are expecting a manifold increase in the numbers.
