The Hindu Business Line : ETV Network to air <I>Tenali </I>series

TOONZ Animation India has entered into an agreement with ETV Network for telecast of The Adventures of Tenali Raman, the first in-house production from Toonz.

Announcing this, Mr P. Jayakumar, Chief Executive Officer, Toonz, said that the 26X11-minute series would be dubbed into five regional languages and aired on the five satellite channels belonging to the ETV stable.

Produced using classic 2D animation, The Adventures of Tenali Raman is the first animated television series of its kind in the country. Revolving around the fun-loving jester Tenali Raman and his hilarious adventures, the series had its worldwide premiere on Cartoon Network Asia last year.

According to Mr Jayakumar, ETV enjoyed a massive footprint, which would help Toonz reach out to a sizable chunk of the television-viewing audience in the country. "Providing content based on the Indian story-telling heritage has always been a priority for Toonz.
