Tourism Marketing - Promotions & Offers Singapore Tourism to come out with special packages Our Bureau
Chennai April 22 THE Singapore Tourism Board is stepping up its promotion of Singapore by twinning destinations with Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Australia, according to Ms Bridget Goh, Area Director - Southern and Eastern India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. The board would come out with special packages for these tours. The Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau, a division of the tourism board, is on a road show promoting Singapore as a meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) destination. Ms Choo Huei Miin, Manager, Meetings and Incentives, Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau, said that India had emerged as an important market for Singapore. In the coming months there would be a number of discount offers for this market segment. The tourism board has positioned Singapore as a leading MICE destination with its `Make it Singapore' campaign in all the metros and has invested around S$15 million for the campaign. In addition, it is also promoting Singapore as a gateway for Indian travellers to China, the US, Australia and New Zealand.
