The Hindu Business Line : NALSAR inks MoU with ICSI

THE National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly hold workshops, seminar, continuing education and training programmes for practising professionals and corporate executives.

Under the MoU regular exchange of journals, course materials, case studies, research publications and other academic research inputs would be facilitated, according to a NALSAR press release.

NALSAR has also agreed to recognise the membership of ICSI as equivalent to Masters Degree for pursuing Ph.D. in Business Laws and Corporate Laws in NALSAR. The Director, NALSAR, Dr Ranbir Singh and President of ICSI, Mr Mahesh Anant Athavale signed the MoU on April 10, the release added.

In another development, NALSAR has signed an agreement for interchange of students with the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario-Canada.

The collaboration provides for exchange of students at the undergraduate level to begin with and other areas at a later stage. Each university will nominate a programme coordinator to ensure that the research and study are organised well, the release said.
