Kuoni Travel buys Resnet from Traveljini

New Delhi , April 7

KUONI Travel Group, India, the country's largest travel conglomerate, has acquired Resnet from Traveljini, an ICICI Venture company, as part of its expansion plan.

The acquisition of Resnet is part of Kuoni India's overall strategy to enter the Internet business and provide a competitive edge, according to a company statement here.

Kuoni has constantly enhanced its leadership status in the Indian travel market through a series of acquisitions.

In 1996, it acquired SOTC, India's leading tour operator. Encouraged by this success and build the Kuoni brand further, the company acquired SITA World Travel.
