Touchtel cuts ISD, STD rates

TOUCHTEL, the basic services brand of the Bharti group, has announced a reduction in its ISD and STD tariffs for its customers in the Delhi and Haryana circles.

According to a company statement, all Delhi customers of Touchtel will be able to make calls to their family and friends anywhere in Europe, the US and Canada at Rs 7.99 per minute as against a maximum of Rs 9.60 per minute during peak hours. Similarly, Touchtel customers in the Haryana circle will now be able to make calls to the UK, the US and Canada at Rs 6.99 per minute and to five South-East Asian Countries, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand, and the rest of Europe at Rs 8.99 per minute. Calls to the rest of the world will be charged at Rs 15.99 per minute.

The new tariffs will be effective from April 10, 2004. Touchtel customers in Haryana can make national long distance calls (STD) between 50- 200 km at Rs 1.99 per minute to any phone. Calls to any fixed line or WLL(M) phone over 200 km can be made at Rs 2.99 per minute.
