Essar Steel posts 11% volume growth

Mumbai , April 5

ESSAR Steel Ltd has posted an 11 per cent growth in sales volume to 1.91 million tonnes for the year ended March 31, as against the previous corresponding 1.72 million tonnes.

According to an official statement here on Monday, HR coil production increased by 10 per cent to 1.93 million tonnes (1.75 million tonnes for the year ago period) while that of HBI, a raw material for steel-making, grew by 13 per cent to 2.23 million tonnes (1.75 million tonnes).
