Agriculture almanac from ANGRAU

HYDERABAD: The Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) has released Vyavasaya Panchangam (agriculture almanac) on Sunday, the Telugu New Year day.

The panchangam covers all crops in the State giving the details of month-wise crop management practices and availability of seeds apart from other aspects. New chapters on steps taken by farmers for quality crop production in the light of India becoming the member of WTO have been added. The crops covered include cereals, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, and medicinal and aromatic plants. It also deals with the subjects of animal husbandry, dairy and home science, according to an ANGRAU press release.
