LENDING a helping hand to women entrepreneurs, the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) has launched a Business Consultancy Cell at its Hyderabad chapter to provide information and counselling required for setting up business ventures.
The cell, set up in association with Hanns Siedel Foundation of Germany, was inaugurated by Mr B.P. Acharya, Secretary (Industries Dept, Government of Andhra Pradesh).
Addressing a gathering later, Ms Mangaish Rao, Chairperson of FLO's Hyderabad chapter, said the cell would act as a single window for all information and consultancy needs of women entrepreneurs.
"It will provide information on diversified statutory compliances, procedures and obligations. It also advices on a wide range of subjects such as company incorporation, registration and taxes," she said.
Terming the launch of the cell as a milestone, Ms Rao said lack of information would mean missed opportunities for women. Mr Acharya asked the FLO to work out on an exclusive industrial park for women on the lines of the one set up by ALEAP (Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh) near here.
"The Government will extend all help if FLO comes out with such plan," he said. Mr V.K. Bafna, a senior company secretary, would head the consultancy cell.
