China council to hold industrial, consumer exhibition in Mumbai

THE China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Guangdong Sub-Council, the apex government body of China for promoting international trade, is holding its first exhibition showcasing industrial and consumer products from more than 110 industrial and consumer corporate from the Guangdong Province of China.

Mr Mohammad Fazal, Governor of Maharashtra, will be inaugurating the event.

Co-organised by Worldex Group of Exhibition companies, "The First China Guangdong Products Exhibition" will be held at the Expo Centre, World Trade Centre, Mumbai, from March 25-28. The exhibition will be open for business visitors from March 25-26 whereas general visitors can visit from March 27-28.

The exhibition will present a diversified product portfolio ranging from home appliances, lighting, electronics & telecommunications, gift items, food stuff, textiles, garments, chemicals, medicines, leather, cosmetics, stationery, toys, two-wheelers and many more.

"Exhibitions are a very important tool for promoting bilateral trade between two nations. Many times in the past, exhibitions and expositions have been hosted by India but this is the first exhibition being sponsored by CCPIT from China. I am very optimistic about the success of this exhibition as it is presenting a good example of harmonious India, China relations," Mr Yuan Nansheng, Consul-General, People's Republic of China, said in Mumbai.
