3 companies win CII awards

CHENNAI: ASHOK Leyland's Hosur unit, Brakes India's foundry at Sholingur, near Chennai, and TVS Srichakra were presented CII's awards in safety, health and environment here.

A CII press release said Dr M.S. Swaminathan, Chairman of Dr M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, presented the awards. The release added the awards were given in recognition of the companies' innovative practices in safety, health and environment measures.

The three companies were chosen from among 19 companies from the southern region that had been short listed for the final selection.
