Railways Electrification work on Thiruvalla-Chengannur sector: Trains to be diverted Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In view of the railway electrification work on the Thiruvalla-Chengannur sector, the railway authorities have announced the diversion of certain trains on March 13. According to an official press release, train numbers 6343 and 6344 Thiruvananthapuram-Palakkad Town-Thiruvananthapuram Amrita Express and train numbers 6347 and 6348 Thiruvananthapuram-Kannur-Thiruvananthapuram express will run via Alappuzha on that day. These trains will not go to Kottayam on March 13, but will stop at Harippad, Alappuzha and Shertala stations on that day, the release adds. The temporary stop permitted for train numbers 2623 and 2624, Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram Mail at Tripunithura will continue till May 31, this year, says the press release.
