Chennai , Feb. 24

CATHAY Pacific Airways will launch a portal for travel agents on March 1. This portal will help agents access information on fares quotes and other relevant information, Mr Thomas W. Owen, Country Manager - India, Nepal and Bangladesh, Cathay Pacific Airways, said.

With India emerging as a strong market, the airline, along with Kuoni Travels and The Hong Kong Tourism Board, has roped in film actor Hrithik Roshan for a promotional film, Mr Owen said.

The airline operates three freighters out of Mumbai and two out of Delhi. Hong Kong, he said, was the central point between China, US and Europe and a lot of air cargo is generated on these sectors.

The airline is planning to invest in 12 second-hand Boeing aircraft, Mr Owen said.
