IVRCL bags orders worth Rs 71 cr for Rajkot water project

IVRCL Infrastructures & Projects Ltd (IVRCL) has received orders worth Rs 71 crore for the execution of the Narmada Canal Distribution Network (NCD-1) project for Rajkot district water supply scheme from the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB).

The project being funded by the National Agriculture Bank for Rural Development has to be executed in 15 months. It involves procurement, supply and laying of 32,300 MS pipes, 1,37,875 DI pipes and 6,73,280 of PVC pipes, besides the construction of three water treatment plants of capacity 1345-cu.m./hr, pump houses and sumps.

According to a press release, during the last 15 days, the order book position of IVRCL has grown by Rs 237 crore, including the present order. The other major orders received are from Konkan Railways Corporation Ltd for the execution of seven tunnels in Jammu and Kashmir worth Rs 156 crore and for the construction of a test track for Sky Bus Metro project at a cost of Rs 10 crore in Goa.

The Hyderabad-based company has geared itself to meet the implementation schedule by mobilising the required resources, according to the release.
