Rs 26 cr for watershed project

NEW DELHI: The Union Government has released Rs 26 crore for watershed projects and total sanitation campaigns, according to a Government release.

Of this, Rs 17.8 crore has been released for planning and development of watershed projects for the implementation of Drought Prone Area Programme (DPAP) in various States.

Another Rs 8 crore has been released as grant-in-aid under the total sanitation campaign of the Central Rural Sanitation Programme in various States, the release added.
