Kochi flower show

KOCHI: The Cochin Flower Show 2004 has been inaugurated by the Kochi Mayor, Mr C.M. Dinesh Mani, at the Subhash Park here. As many as 50,000 plants are on show and this includes those in the nurseries too.

Among them are 300 chrysanthemum plants in nine varieties and 250 odd orchids in 25 varieties.

The Cochin Port Trust, Cochin Shipyard Ltd and SBI are the major institutions among the 32 individual participants.

The show organised by the Ernakulam District Agri Horticultural Society, will be on till February 15.
