Hyderabad , Feb. 5

THE Loft, which opened the country's "biggest" footwear showroom here on Thursday, plans similar ones in Bangalore and New Delhi this year.

According to Mr Susil S. Dungarwal, Customer Care Executive and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the company would open one more store in Mumbai. "We would like to cover all the metro cities soon," he said.

"For the year ended March 31, 2003, we registered a turnover of Rs 7.5 crore. This year we hope to reach Rs 12 crore," he said.

Claiming that the Hyderabad store is the biggest footwear showroom in the country, he said the 22,000 sq ft showroom was home to more than one lakh pairs of footwear from over 120 brands.

The outlet also comprises a 160-foot jogging track made of Astroturf to help customers check whether the shoes they buy fit well.
