CHENNAI: SlashSupport India (P) Ltd, in the business of providing remote, advanced technical support, plans to increase its manpower strength to 2,000 in the next fiscal. The current strength is 750.

It is also targeting annual revenues of $22 million in the year ending December 2004 compared to $8 million last year. It has lined up $3 million as investment into a new centre in the city. The CEO, Mr Shiva Ramani, said: "Most of it would be from internal accruals along with a debt component."

The company has added 15 clients of which seven came the last year. Mr Ramani said, "Our top five clients have combined annual revenues of $85 billion. Typically, 6-7 per cent of IT infrastructure spending goes towards advanced tech support. Assuming 70 per cent of that could be offshored, there's immense potential here."
