Storage Acer forays into enterprise storage Our Bureau
Bangalore , Jan. 29 ACER India Pvt Ltd on Thursday announced its foray into the enterprise storage market with Acer Storage Centre (ASC), its storage networking infrastructure solution. The company expects to garner a seven per cent market share in the estimated Rs 650-crore market by end-2004. "We are looking at a revenue of Rs 38-40 crore from the server segment in the current calendar year," said Mr Harish Kohli, general manager, sales and marketing, Enterprise Product Group, Acer India. The company expects to leverage its strong presence in the server market to target high growth verticals such as banking and finance, telecom, e-governance and government with its storage solutions, he said.
