Intel offers Linux tool

BANGALORE: Intel Corp has begun shipping a new version of the IntelVTune Performance analyser 2.0 for the Linux operating system, its first fully Linux-native performance analyser for the Intel Itanium family.

Announcing this, the APA Regional Manager, Strategic Relations Intel Asia, Mr Narendra Bhandari said the performance analyser, a developer productivity tool, identifies lines of code in an application that consume excessive amounts of processor resources. Developers can use this tool to identify bottlenecks and remove them. Intel also introduced the version 2.0 of the Intel VTune Performance Analyser Driver kit.
