CCEA may take up today Bangalore airport pact

THE construction of the international airport at Bangalore could get a major boost on Tuesday, with the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) likely to consider the draft concession agreement for participation of private players in the project.

Civil Aviation Ministry officials had indicated that the approval of the draft agreement could be significant for efforts to modernise the airports at Delhi and Mumbai as a similar process could be followed at the two metro airports.
