H-P claims 40% market pie

BANGALORE: Hewlett-Packard India Pvt. Ltd has announced that it is the leader in the Indian storage market in the third quarter of 2003 (July-September) with a market share of 40.6 per cent, according to figures released by IDC.

The companyhad increased its market share by 19 per cent over the same period last year. For the nine months ended September 2003, H-P continued to maintain its leadership position with a market share of 40.5 per cent, the company said in a press release.

According to IDC, H-P continues to lead the storage market in storage area network, overall tape business, tape automation and External RAID market.
