Reliance Info to promote Virumaandi

RELIANCE Infocomm has tied up with Rajkamal Films to promote Virumaandi, the Kamal Hassan starrer, to be released on Pongal.

Through this tie up, a first in South India for Reliance Infocomm, subscribers will be able to watch the movie's trailers, get the movie's plot and take part in competitions based around the movie and its stars.

Apart from promoting the film through its mobile telephone service, Reliance has also erected billboards in Tamil Nadu. Mr V.G. Somasekhar, Head - Reliance India Mobile, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, said marketing the movie through the Reliance mobile service was an attempt to promote the data applications of the service.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Kaushik Roy, Marketing Head, Reliance Infocomm, said that till March its subscribers could watch the movie trailer free of cost "the usage time, the equivalent of talk time will be free."
