S.L. Rao is ISEC Chairman

BANGALORE: Dr S.L. Rao, former Director General of National Council of Applied Economic Research, has been made the new Chairman of the Bangalore-based Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC). He succeeds Mr T.R. Satish Chandran, who was the Director of ISEC and later took over as the Chairman of the organisation in 1997-98.

The Board of Governors of ISEC at a meeting here decided the name of Dr Rao as the new Chairman.

A renowned economist, Dr Rao, had also served as the first Chairman of the National Electricity Regulatory Commission soon after it was constituted.
