TN onion growers' plea for trading centre

ONION growers in Tamil Nadu have demanded the establishment of an exclusive trading centre.

According to Mr K. Ramarajan, a grower and district secretary of the Farmers and Toilers Party, the input costs have increased and setting up of a centre would be helpful in bringing down the input costs. It might be in the form of a co-operative society or a suitable agency.
