Ramesh Kumar is NMDC chief

MR B. Ramesh Kumar will be the new Chairman and Managing Director of the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), a public sector undertaking, under the Union Ministry of Steel.

Mr Kumar, Director (Technical), will assume charge on January 1, 2004. He succeeds Mr S.K. Agrawal, who retired on superannuation on Wednesday. Mr Agrawal was holding the posts of Director (Production) and CMD of NMDC.

Mr R.N. Singh, Director (Commercial), also retired on superannuation on Wednesday, according to a press release from NMDC.
