ISPs Sify i-Way pact with matrimony site Our Bureau
CHENNAI: Members of BharatMatrimony.com, a matrimony portal, can now make their payments through Sify i-Way, a cyber chain from Sify Ltd. So far, payments to avail of the site's services could be made only through credit cards. While registration is free, there is a fee to establish contact with prospective brides or grooms. For Sify i-Way, this is the second such agreement. Earlier, it had tied up with ESPN to collect payments from fans participating in Super Selector, a cricket game on the sports channel. Sify is exploring more such alliances wherein people can make offline payments to use services online (on the Web), a Sify official told newspersons. A BharatMatrimony.com official said that the site has a customer base of about 8.70 lakh users and has helped some 30,000 marriages happen.
