Mumbai , Dec. 23

VSNL today launched the `Tata Indicom Total Internet,' an integrated solution comprising multiple Internet services - i.e., Internet access, Net telephony and value-added mailing services.

The package will allow all Indicom dial-up customers to avail themselves of these multiple services using the rupee value in their Indicom account from VSNL.

The package also marks the company's launch of Net telephony services to retail customers, which will enable them to make quality calls across the globe from the comfort of their PCs.

Mr N. Srinath, Director (Operations), said: "It is important to form direct contact with customers in the changing environment where retail is becoming more important."

He added that the company was carrying forward an exercise, which was based on the belief that the market was going to develop on the retail rather than the wholesale model.

The `Total Internet' packs are available in several denominations starting from Rs 100 up to Rs 3,000 to suit customers across all price bands.

They will be available at VSNL's 5,500 retail outlets in 22 cities across the country.

"The advantages of the pack are increased convenience, better manageability of the account and the convenience of using the same user ID and password."

The new developments in Net services are the use of mobility devices and surfing the Web in a Wi-Fi enabled environment.

"Internet marketing is evolving and there is a need to provide customers with better services," Mr Srinath said.
