KOCHI: Sunshine India Lottery, has announced the launch of an initiative under which Kerala would be one of key markets where it would lay special focus in the coming months.

The initiative according to an official release here would unfold over the next few weeks and spread over a period of one year. Elaborating on the recent trends in the regulatory environment in the State, Mr Shreekant Gupte, Chief Executive Officer, Sunshine India Lottery, said that the company's philosophy had always been to operate strictly within the framework of the prevailing regulatory environment and in a spirit of partnership and co-operation with the administration of the States.

The company had commenced its operations in October last with more than 500 terminals active across Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Kerala and Goa. He said that the recent Kerala High Court ruling had paved the way for resumption of its operations in the State.
