Water level declines in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The water level at the three major water reservoirs in the State, Idukki, Kallada and Idamalayar, declined marginally when compared to the respective levels recorded during the last week.

According to the Central Water Commission, the level came down to 2345.90 ft from 2347.27 at Idukki, 494.16 ft from 495.47 ft at Idamalayar and 368.31 ft from 369.75 ft at Kallada. When compared year-on-year, the water level increased by 12.67 ft at Kallada, 15.68 ft at Idukki and 8.63 ft at Idamalayar.
