Petroleum Industry & Economy - Petroleum Petrol, diesel dearer by Re 1 Our Bureau
New Delhi , Dec. 15 THE public sector oil marketing companies on Monday raised the retail prices of petrol and diesel by around Re 1 per litre each. This is in accordance with the mechanism evolved by the oil companies to review prices every fortnight. In the case of petrol, the retail sale price in Delhi has been raised by Re 1 to Rs 32.70 per litre; in Kolkata by Rs 1.04 to Rs 35.57 per litre; in Mumbai by Rs 1.08 to Rs 37.74 per litre; and in Chennai by Rs 1.08 to Rs 35.71 per litre. In the case of diesel, the retail sale price in Delhi has been raised by Re 1 to Rs 20.73 per litre; in Kolkata by Rs 1.04 to Rs 22.04 per litre; in Mumbai by Rs 1.20 to Rs 26.23 per litre; and in Chennai by Rs 1.11 to Rs 23.11 per litre.
