The Hindu Business Line : CNBC biz school quiz show

CNBC-TV18 has announced the launch of a nationwide business school competition, Trial By Fire, to test how prepared management students are for the pressures of work life.

`Trial By Fire' is in the form on an incisive quiz show where the focus is more on EQ than on IQ, the channel said in a news release.

All aspiring participants need to log on to Web site www.cnbctrialbyfire.com and take the screening test. The top 32 teams qualifying in the screening test will be invited to participate in the on-ground regional rounds to be held in four cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore. The top six teams from the qualifiers will participate in the mega final.

The regional rounds and the finals will be hosted by quizmaster Mr Derek O Brien.

Online tests have already started. The regional events have been slotted for the second week of January and the grand final to be held in the last week of January. The telecast of the episodes will commence in January.
