Rural insurance

No doubt the vast potential of the rural market in insurance remains untapped.

Only the Life Insurance Corporation of India with its large number of branch offices and network of agents throughout the country is able to do a reasonable percentage of business in rural areas.

However, to tap the full potential the insurance companies will have to introduce new products to suit the needs of the people, combining it with facilities to meet their short-term requirements and so on.
